Phillies roast Denver Post over egregious error

Have you been to Coors Field ouTt in Denver lately? There’s a lovely BBQ joint out in left field called Bull’s BBQ and there are some great eating options out in Ashburn Alley. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the Phanatic. He’s a hoot.

Wait, that’s at Citizens Bank Park? Sorry, got confused.

You know who else got confused? The Denver Post.

They had a seemingly lovely guide to Coors Field in their paper this morning only the photo they used on the cover page was… not at all Coors Field.

It was actually an image of Citizens Bank Park.

This is obviously a very bad mistake but it’s not all fun and games. The Post was forced to layoff roughly a third of its staff recently, so an error like this is more sad than funny.

Fans on Twitter took notice. So did the Phillies.

I’ve stared at this on my kitchen counter for five minutes. pic.twitter.com/I7eQUJPdpL

Weird how the Denver Post laid off a ton of journalists, then printed a photo of the stadium in Philadelphia with "Phillies" all over it and called it Coors Field, I’m sure those are two totally unrelated things that happened. https://t.co/0aGY5oym5O
